Adult Content - Not suitable for kids

You've been warned. this article http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,352278,00.html sites a study that found men who masturbated more than 5 times per week were 1/3 less likely to develop prostate cancer. That's one out of every 3... that's pretty good odds for what amounts to a few minutes of "work" every day.

Now the problem: what if someone is Christian and their religious views are not accepting of masturbation? what about that awesome grey area that fundamentalists claim doesn't exist?

Masturbation is frowned upon for the lustful thinking, taking away the value of the human body, and waste of "seed" (seemed like the most appropriate word). However, in this sense one could pursue the deed 5 times a week in the mind-set of self preservation in order to do more of God's work here on Earth before they die. Now if one were to choose not to masturbate for religious reasons, they are giving up a 33 % chance of not having to deal with this often fatal form of cancer. Sounds like it could go either way. Also contrary to popular belief, not all guys do the deed that much. My information comes from casual conversation with dudes throughout my life so I can't claim my "not all" qualifier as scientific. Some guys may not prefer to masturbate that often, but if they decided to "bite the bullet" and do it for health reasons... is that wrong?

Just some adult food for thought.

On a side note: The article sites the ejaculation of fluids is the most likely reason. So in a monogymous, STD-free relationship, I'm sure the same benefits would come for sexual intercourse or other sexual activities leading to ejaculation 5 times a week.

Paying for a forced review!

Confusing title eh? Well my Mammalian Physiology class is not being accepted Human Physiology by the Army PA Program (Even though UAB's PA Program accepts it). So I must take Human Physiology (a freshman level pre-nursing class) next fall in order to keep my packet eligible for selection. I was pretty bummed about it when I found out because the Mammalian class was all Human, we didn't study any other mammalian systems. Also, the Mammalian class is a senior level Biology Major course which is substantially more difficult than the pre-nursing class (elitist biology major jab to the face of pre-nursing students). I'm in the process of being re-admitted to UAB in order to take the class in the Fall. I'm putting a positive spin on it (even though I've got to pay $500 for a class I've already had) and saying that it's an oppurtunity for review and to get back into the swing of the academic world before PA School. I'll probably work here at Mountain High again but only 2-3 days a week (not on weekends) to get good prodeals and make some cash on the side.
